Jake Paul had an unexpected idea about how the president should be contributing to his war in Iran. The 29-year-old boxer and influencer appeared on the Sunday (April 5) episode of Theo Von‘s This Past Weekend podcast. During his interview with Von, the pair referenced rulers in ancient Rome. This led to Paul suggesting that Donald Trump, 79, should be more involved in the war that he launched in the Middle East. According to the controversial social media star, the president should be calling the shots from the front line. Keep reading to find out more… During the interview, Von noted that politicians in ancient Rome used to appear on the front lines of the battlefield, which he praised as “really amazing,” explaining, “If they were going to make choices that affected the lives of the citizens … they had to be out there as leaders as well.” Paul replied, saying, “If I ever was running for office, I would also be super down to have an AR-15 and f—ing shoot these motherf—ers.” “I think you’re right,” he later agreed. “That’s a really good point, actually. Like, Trump should be on the front lines. Or Barron,” he said, referencing the president’s youngest son, Barron Trump, 20. Paul‘s recommendation comes just a few weeks after he appeared at an event alongside the president, during which Trump supported him launching a political career. “I’m going to make a prediction that you will be, in the not-too-distant future, running for political office. You have my complete and total endorsement,” he told Paul. The interview aired the same day that the president issued his most inflammatory threats against Iran to date and amid ongoing questions about alleged peace talks that Trump is engaging in with Iranian leaders.
