James McAvoy secretly welcomed a child with his wife Lisa Liberati four years ago!

The 46-year-old actor opened up about his four-year-old son in a new interview with The Guardian.

For those who don’t know, James has been married to Lisa since 2022 and he also shares 15-year-old son Brendon with his ex-wife Anne-Marie Duff.

In James‘ profile for The Guardian, the writer notes that the actor and Lisa “have a son and are based in London, ‘but a wee bit in Philly’, where Liberati’s family live.”

James opened up about having his second child later in life.

“Having a kid at 42 is definitely easier in some ways,” he said. “I worry less. I’m a bit more philosophical. But it’s also harder, because you’re just older and tireder.”

James also talked about how age has affected his work. He said, “I’m getting all that first-timer stress in my 40s. When we were shooting the film, I’d wake up at 2.30am with the film buzzing in my head.”

James is currently promoting his movie California Schemin, which he stars in and directed. The movie premiered on the festival circuit last year and will now hit theaters in the UK in April.
