James Van Der Beek Remembered by 'Don't Trust The B---- in Apartment 23' Co-Stars Krysten Ritter & Dreama Walker

More of James Van Der Beek‘s former co-stars are paying tribute after his death.

On Wednesday (February 11), the Dawson’s Creek star passed away after battling colorectal cancer since August 2023. He was 48.

Shortly after his wife Kimberly announced his death, James‘ former Don’t Trust the B—- in Apartment 23 co-stars Krysten Ritter and Dreama Walker took to social media to honor the late actor.

Keep reading to find out more…“Really hard news today,” Krysten wrote on her Instagram Story. “Beautiful human inside and out. Smart, funny, empathic, kind, talented and just pure magic.”

“I’m so grateful for our friendship and so heartbroken,” she continued. “All my love goes out to his amazing wife Kimberly and their children. Love you so much James and fake James.”

Along with her message, Krysten shared several throwback photos of herself and James.

On her own Instagram Story, Dreama wrote, “My heart hurts so much today” over a video of James talking about his own mortality.

Don’t Trust the B—- in Apartment 23 ran for two seasons from 2012 to 2014 on ABC. In the comedy series, James played a fictionalized, and exaggerated, version of himself.
