Peacock has finally announced the release date for The Five Star Weekend, its newest limited drama based on Elin Hilderbrand’s 2023 novel of the same name. In addition, the streamer has also shared the first photos from the show, featuring a first look at its main cast led by Golden Globe winner Jennifer Garner and Scary Movie star Regina Hall.

When is the release date for Peacock’s The Five Star Weekend series?

The Five Star Weekend is scheduled to make its debut on July 16, 2026, exclusively on Peacock. The ensemble cast also includes D’Arcy Carden, Gemma Chan, Chloë Sevigny, Harlow Jane, and Timothy Olyphant, with Judy Greer, David Denman, Josh Hamilton, Rob Huebel, West Duchovny, Tory Devon Smith, Morrison Keddie, and Roberta Colindrez set to play recurring characters.

“The series is centered on Hollis Shaw, a famed cook and best-selling author known for her delicious recipes, impeccable taste, and warm demeanor, who suffers a devastating loss. Unable to move forward, the death starts to expose the cracks in Hollis’s picture-perfect life—her strained marriage, her complicated relationship with her daughter, and her growing pursuit of validation from her fans,” reads the official synopsis. “In an effort to overcome grief and find herself again, Hollis gets the idea to host a weekend away at her house on Nantucket with three friends from different stages in her life: her childhood, her twenties, her thirties, and one surprise fifth star. Set against a luxurious and coastal backdrop, the stars will mature in ways they could never imagine as boundaries are pushed and secrets are exposed.”

The 8-episode show is created, written, and executive-produced by Bekah Brunstetter. Executive producers are writer Beth Schacter, director Minkie Spiro, Hilderbrand, and Merri Howard, alongside Sue Naegle and Ali Krug for Dinner Party Productions. It hails from UCP, a division of Universal Studio Group.
