Growing up alongside Jennifer Love Hewitt (in a purely parasocial way, of course), I honestly never predicted that she'd be one of the celebrities who kept us on our toes with unexpected hair color changes. Although you may think of her as a brunette—which she is, deep down—she sees herself as unfettered by the limitations of her hair follicles' own melanin. And now, after nearly a year as a redhead, the 9-1-1 star has moved on to a new not-brown hair color.

On Tuesday, April 21, Hewitt and her go-to colorist, Nikki Lee, posted a joint Instagram reel to share a cute transformation moment. The actor, lip-syncing the “bend and snap" dialogue from Legally Blonde (apropos, as you'll see), bends forward, snapping up to reveal a gorgeous new rich, honey blonde hair color.

Lee even listed her entire process and Wella products used to achieve the look, and it reads as strong evidence that colorists are basically artistic scientists.

Lee also noted that she installed matching Great Lengths extensions for length and volume, the result being gorgeous, loose waves with a ton of depth and definition in the new golden tones.
