Jessica Alba is prioritizing self-care after her split from Cash Warren.
Just under a month after she and the film producer announced that they were putting an end to their 16-year marriage, the Dark Angel alum got raw and real in her latest Instagram photo dump.
Along with a few casual selfies, the post consisted of inspirational quotes, songs she’s been listening to lately and a video showing off her toned body while getting a lymphatic drainage massage. And, at the end of the video, the 43-year-old included before-and-after photos from her relaxing treatment.
Alongside the Feb. 4 glimpse into her recent rituals, Jessica added the caption, “Life lately.”
The Fantastic Four actress’ intimate life update came three weeks after she confirmed her and Cash’s breakup. And while doing so, she also shared insight into the cathartic journey she’s undertaken.
“I’ve been on a journey of self realization and transformation for years – both as an individual and in partnership with Cash,” she wrote in her Instagram post at the time. “I’m proud of how we’ve grown in our marriage over the last 20 years and it’s now time for us to embark on a new chapter of growth and evolution as individuals.”
But for Jessica—who shares kids Honor Marie Warren, 16, Haven Garner Warren, 13, and Hayes Alba Warren, 7, with her estranged husband—being the best mother she could be remained at the forefront of her mind.
“We are moving forward with love, kindness and respect for each other and will forever be family,” she continued. “Our children remain our highest priority and we request privacy at this time.”
Indeed, just four days before the news of their split broke the internet, the couple was nothing but smiles while celebrating their youngest’s birthday with a trip to Universal Studios Hollywood.
In the carousel of photos posted to Instagram Jan. 3, the pair shared a series of picture-perfect memories from their day exploring the Los Angeles theme park’s Super Nintendo World as well as The Wizarding World of Harry Potter.
But even so, the two have previously shared that parenting duties can often get in the way of keeping the spark alive in their relationship.
"It's all rosy for two and a half years, but then after that you become roommates," Jessica said in 2021 on the Before, During & After Baby Instagram Live series. "You're just going through the motions. You have the responsibilities; it's a lot of, like, checking the boxes, right?"
"We have, obviously, the friendship, the comfort of 'You're not going anywhere,' so sometimes you don't treat those people the best,” she continued. “You don't consider their feelings in the way that you would consider other people's feelings.”
