Johnny Depp is known for getting back into costume as his iconic characters to surprise unsuspecting fans and he just did it again as Ebenezer Scrooge!

The 63-year-old actor previously got into character for a Comic-Con appearance back in July 2026 and now he’s done it again ahead of the theatrical release of Ebenezer.

Johnny was all dressed up as Ebenezer Scrooge, in full costume and makeup, during a stop by Bryant Park on Monday night (November 2) in New York City.

Johnny was seen taking Christmas cookies and tossing them to the ground, knocking a Christmas tree to the ground, and getting into arguments with people in the square.

Ebenezer also stars Rupert Grint, Andrea Riseborough, Sam Claflin, Daisy Ridley, Arthur Conti, Ellie Bamber, Henry Lloyd-Hughes, Charlie Murphy, with Tramell Tillman and Ian McKellen. 

The movie is directed by Ti West, best known for creating the X trilogy starring Mia Goth.

The movie hits theaters on November 13.
