Kelly Ripa has revealed the signal that she and Mark Consuelos will not be having sex that evening.

On Live! with Kelly and Mark this week, the 55-year-old longtime host made a quip about the sound her husband, also 55, will hear that seals his bedroom fate.

The sound in question is the noise her retainer makes when she puts it in her teeth before bed!

“He hears the retainer pop in, it’s like a chastity belt,” Kelly jokingly said.

Mark then agreed, saying, “When you put it in, it’s like, click, click, click. Alright, guess I’m going to bed.”

This all came about as they were telling the audience a fun fact about koalas. Mark shared, “When they’re mating, the koala goes in there and says, ‘Hey, I’m Mr. Koala, nice to meet you, Ms. Koala.’ Sometimes they’re not interested. Instead of being heartbroken, they go back to sleep.”

Kelly and Mark met on the set of the soap opera All My Children and got married back in 1996. This May will be their 30th wedding anniversary!
