Fall doesn't officially start for a few more days, but we've been in fall mani mode since the end of August. Typically, when you think fall nail colors, you think plums, burgundies, and espresso brown, but Kylie Jenner and Hailey Bieber have two very different ideas of autumnal manicure palettes.

The noted longtime besties filmed a very cute video in their preferred location—sitting in the car—and while the video is actually about their lip combos, we were focused on their nails. The Kylie Cosmetics and Rhode founders are wearing totally opposite colors: a deep, shiny inky black for Jenner and a light, frosty sheer white for Bieber. Both stars' nails are a long almond shape, and their respective nail colors also just so happen to match their tops.

Getting your nails done with your BFF is one of life's greatest luxuries, as is getting ready together. Both Jenner and Bieber frequently work with nail artist Zola Ganzorigt, so we have to wonder if they ever hang out while updating their nail colors or nail art. Did they plan to match their manis to their shirts? Was the black-and-white palette a happy accident or did they decide to coordinate their colors? Either way, it's pretty darn cute.

Ganzorigt previously shared a mirror selfie of Jenner, captioning it, “Fall has arrived with black onyx nails,” which leads me to believe that Jenner's current polish could be OPI's beloved Black Onyx, a simple, sophisticated jet black that works as well for a day out in Los Angeles as it does for NYFW or a precursor to Halloween nails. As for Bieber, she's been particularly devoted to that sheer, delicate white nail, so much so that it has almost replaced the glazed donut mani as her signature look.

Not quite ready to embrace a fall palette of dark, smoky, moody tones? Follow Bieber's lead! On the flip side, if you're already sipping apple cider and marathoning your favorite horror movies, take a cue from Jenner and swap your summer nail shades for something glamorously gothy.
