Labrinth Explains Why His Music Isn't Part of 'Euphoria' Season 3, Says 'I Don't Let People Treat Me Like S--t'

Labrinth is setting the record straight on why he left Euphoria.

Ahead of the season three premiere, the 37-year-old British musician called out people in Hollywood who “comfortably lie,” explaining that he doesn’t “let people treat me like s–t.”

Keep reading to find out more…“People will comfortably lie in this industry and still call themselves honest people,” Labrinth wrote on his Instagram Story on Saturday (April 11).

“So no cap, I decided to remove whatever music I had in it,” he continued. “I spoke to HBO, as far as I know, we are cool. I left because, last truth, when I work for someone, their vision is paramount to me. But I don’t let people treat me like s–t.”

Labrinth‘s latest comments come after he wrote last month in a since-deleted post that he’s “done with this industry,” adding, “F–k Columbia. Double f–k Euphoria. I’m out. Thank you and good night.”

Then in a new interview with Rolling Stone published on April 9, Euphoria creator Sam Levinson addressed Labrinth leaving the show after composing the music for the first two seasons.

“He’s an incredible collaborator and someone who really built the foundation of the sound of Euphoria,” Sam said. He also said that with the show’s five-year time up, the characters are out of high school, so the “pop roots of it have faded away.”

“In general, I was less interested in needle drops and more interested in something that guided us through this world,” Sam added.

Hans Zimmer is leading the score for season three with full composer credits.

Euphoria season three debuts THIS coming Sunday (April 12) on HBO and HBO Max. Watch the trailer here!
