Six Core Values to Live By

KINDNESS

Kindness is essential. No matter who you are or who you’re talking to, kindness is number one. There is no reason to be rude or mean to anyone.

At Dear Media culture comes first and if a high performer who is great at their job is not kind, they’re gone. Success means nothing without kindness.

INTEGRITY

Michael goes over the Coldplay drama and how it uprooted the lives and careers of both people involved. He would never do business with someone who is lacking integrity and honestly (aka someone who cheats on their spouse).

Reputation takes a lifetime to build and moments to be destroyed.

PERSONAL ACCOUNTABILITY

One must take ownership for mistakes and not blame others. Admitting fault and taking responsibility encourages resilience and discourages a victim mentality.

DISCIPLINE

Confidence develops from consistent hard work and discipline. It fosters productivity, stronger relationships, and a healthy mental state to put in hard work and achieve goals.

RESOURCEFULNESS

It’s easier said than done, but parents should let their kids struggle and figure out things on their own. This helps them to develop real world skills and set them up for success. Being resourceful later in life allows you to go with the flow of the world like market and platform shifts.

INDEPENDENCE AND AUTONOMY

Being an independent and critical thinker is another value that instills high self-esteem and problem solving skills. It will help you avoid the heard mentality and question information that is served to you, which these days is not always reliable.
