Lewis Capaldi is taking being confused for Lewis Hamilton in stride.

The 29-year-old singer was mistaken for the Formula One driver in a video taken with Kim Kardashian at Coachella.

Kim and Lewis are seen chatting in the crowd for Justin Bieber‘s set in the actual footage, but the caption reads, “Lewis Capaldi spotted with Kim Kardashian at Coachella during Justin Bieber’s set last night.”

Lewis quoted the post on X and joked, “wow guys not cool such an invasion of our privacy.”

Several people appeared to have failed to notice the typo, thinking the Scottish musician was writing in earnest about the incident, unaware he was poking fun at the case of mistaken identity.

“tries a sneaky link with billionaire influencer in public event and then gets mad when people find out,” one person wrote.

“is this ur first day on this planet,” Lewis replied.

“Imagine thinking you have privacy in the middle of one of the most video/photographed events of the year standing in a mass audience of people,” said another.

To which Lewis wrote, “ur a silly billy my guy.”
