Liza Minnelli is joking about her love life!

During the Liza Minnelli in Conversation event last week at the Million Dollar Theater in downtown Los Angeles, the 80-year-old icon reflected on her life in the spotlight following decades in show business.

At one point during the event, Michael Feinstein, the moderator and Liza‘s longtime collaborated, mentioned that the Cabaret star has had a number of husbands over the years.

If you didn’t know, Liza has been married and divorced four times. She was first married to Peter Allen from 1967 to 1974, then to Jack Haley Jr from 1974 to 1979, to Mark Gero from 1979 to 1992, then finally to David Gest from 2002 to 2007.

While promoting her memoir Kids, Wait Till You Hear This! in a recent interview with People, Liza opened up about what she learned from her marriages.

“You think this is it,” Liza said.

“It’s not it,” she continued with a laugh, adding, “It’s just not.”
