Lizzo Deletes TikTok Video About Jay-Z & Epstein Files Amid Backlash

Lizzo spoke out about the Epstein Files, and she ended up deleting her video.

The 37-year-old “Truth Hurts” singer shared a TikTok video addressing the many names that have been found in the Jeffrey Epstein documents being released by the Department of Justice, including Jay-Z.

In her video, Lizzo expressed frustration for people jumping to conclusions and associating people with the late convicted sex offender’s crimes.

“The American people in the comments, ‘I knew she was wrong. Jay-Z, I knew he was… what did it say Jay-Z did? He was there in 1996? Come on, people,” she said in the since-deleted video.

“Like, y’all are falling for it. It’s the easiest, oldest trick in the book. And honestly, I’m losing faith in the average intelligence of the American person. Because, come on, just because somebody’s name is mentioned in a 3 million document file of a person’s life who’s been lived over a span of crimes who span decades, doesn’t mean that every single person isn’t an accomplice,” Lizzo continued.

“He referenced Jay-Z once. He was like, ‘oh, we could learn from Jay-Z‘s business model.’ Why are y’all… Where’s the crime? Focus.”

She drew a lot of backlash online, with some users accusing her of wanting to be in Jay-Z‘s “good graces” and hoping to “win points” with him.
