I’m going to take you straight to the M&S website where Bella Freud has worked her magic with slogan cashmere, sexy silky shirts and cosy candles. The first thing in my basket would be the Starry Starry Night candle- a warming olfactory affair with notes of tobacco and vanilla with a woody base HERE. The alternative is the Divine Feminine Candle which is scented with orchid and amber – either way, sexy black wax and winter are a match made in heaven. They’re £15 each.

Next up is this wool slogan sweater in colour of the moment, burgundy. There are several slogan sweaters but the words have to resonate! I couldn’t get on board with the jumpers that say Kind! and Dance. This is just nicely cheeky, fun and stylish. It’s also available in bright pink. Both are £130 HERE and come in sizes XS to XL.

I can get quite excitable about tableware but I’m lazy about napkins and often offer up paper ones (currently I have some bizarre ones featuring a pheasant and the words F**k Off given to me by my daughter!) that I keep in a cafe style holder plastic envelope holder. It’s £14 for a set of 4 of Bella’s cotton/linen napkins with a safe for work slogan HERE!

This very cool boucle make up bag is my number one choice at £18, not least because if you spend £35 you qualify to buy the M&S beauty advent calendar for £60 (value £330) and you can stuff the bags full of the booty. It’s HERE. There are just so many people I could give this to.

The silk shirt up top is £120 HERE – I love the pleat detail at the front. Available in black or white, it’s super fancy and super cool. Available up to size 24. As for the velvet suit it’s shown on the website with – I don’t like it at all because it just looks such a crumpled mess and I can’t see any merit in a pair of Bella Freud jeans that look the same as all the other jeans. A lot of hits in this collection but several misses too. Anything taking your fancy?
