The man who was in police custody as of Tuesday night (February 10) in the Nancy Guthrie disappearance has been released and his home was searched.

The man – identified as Carlos Palazuelos (via NBC News) – told reporters, “I didn’t do anything. … I’m innocent.”

“They held me against my will. They didn’t read me my rights until 2 hours in,” he said.

He was asked if he knows who Nancy Guthrie even is, and he said, “No.”

When asked why they focused on him, he said, “I don’t know…I ain’t do anything…I don’t follow the news.”

“They didn’t ask me no questions. They sat me in the car, they investigated my car. This van, and that’s it. They didn’t ask me no questions,” he said. “I hope they get the suspect. Cause I’m not it.”

When asked what led them to him, Carlos said he was not told anything and he doesn’t know.

Police confirmed, “Investigators have completed their search of a property in Rio Rico. Nancy Guthrie investigation is ongoing. No further details at this time.”

It appears as if Nancy Guthrie is still missing.

It is said that the Guthrie family does not recognize the potential suspect in the surveillance photos released yesterday.
