 'Most Brilliant, Kindest, Sweetest Angel'

Martin Short and Steve Martin shared a sweet tribute to Catherine O’Hara during their recent comedy show The Best of Steve Martin and Martin Short.

The two actors performed on Friday night (January 30) in Austin, Texas and took a moment to praise their late friend who passed away after a brief illness at the age of 71.

Catherine O’Hara, I met when she was 18 years of age,” Martin said. “And all these years later, she had been the greatest, most brilliant, kindest, sweetest angel that any of us worked with.”

He and Steve then clinked glasses together, shown in this video shared on TikTok.

Martin and Catherine worked together at Second City improv theater in the 1970s, and later on Second City Television. She also met her Schitt’s Creek co-star Eugene Levy through Second City.

Catherine and the Only Murders in the Building actor co-starred in animated movies like The Addams Family and Frankenweenie.

She and Steve worked on the Lorne Michaels-created The New Show and co-starred in the 1994 comedy-drama film A Simple Twist of Fate.

Catherine‘s Schitt’s Creek co-stars Dan Levy, Eugene Levy, and Annie Murphy have all shared tributes.
