Matt LeBlanc Eyes TV Return With New CBS Crime Drama 'Flint,' Series Gets Development Room Order

Matt LeBlanc could be returning to primetime television!

The 58-year-old Friends star has been tapped to the lead the cast of a potential new series called Flint at CBS, according to The Wrap.

Flint is a crime drama which “follows a burnt-out LAPD who, on the verge of retirement, is blindsided when the city extends his service by five years. Determined to get fired, he breaks rules and disobeys orders, which to his dismay, ends up making him a better cop.”

CBS has given the show, from 24‘s Evan Katz, a development room order to write more scripts.

News of Flint was announced during CBS’ 2026-2027 schedule presentation on Tuesday (April 14) in Los Angeles.

This will mark Matt‘s first time back on television since his CBS comedy Man With a Plan, which ran for four seasons on the network, from 2016 to 2020.

He is of course best known for starring as Joey Tribbiani on Friends, and reprising his role in the short lived spinoff Joey.

More recently, he took part in the Friends: The Reunion special, and the Top Gear: A Tribute to Sabine Schmitz special episode, both in 2021.
