To say Megan Thee Stallion is an anime fan is an understatement. The rapper is a huge fan of all things anime, and she doesn't just watch her favorite series—she pays homage to them with in glam routine, including her manicures.

The latest in a long line of anime-inspired looks is a “devil's fruit” manicure inspired by the very popular series One-Piece, which is one of Megan's favorites; she cosplayed as the character Boa Hancock from the series in her “Boa” music video last year. This time, however, Megan is channeling the character Monkey D. According to One Piece lore, devil fruits are magical fruits that bestow special powers upon the person who eats them. Each of Megan's nails is an ode to these powerful fruits with its own unique design centered around the signature swirls and swoops of the devil fruits. One finger is purple, which is the devil fruit most commonly associated with Luffy, while other similar designs are sapphire blue, rose pink, and bright orange. If you weren't familiar with One Piece, you'd think this was simply some pretty nail art, but real anime fans know the truth and will instantly recognize the reference.
