Orgo-Life the new way to the future Advertising by AdpathwayThe longtime partner of Mick Jagger’s granddaughter is believed to be dead after a body was discovered in the sea.
On Sunday afternoon, UK’s Devon & Cornwall Police issued a tragic update in the search for 37-year-old Alexander Key, who shares two children with the Rolling Stone frontman’s granddaughter Assisi Jackson.
“Officers searching for a missing man from Boscastle have located the body of a man at Bude,” the update, posted on Facebook, read.
“Officers and HM Coastguard were called around 6.30pm yesterday, 31 January, after the body of a man was discovered in the sea at Bude. Sadly, he was deceased at the scene.”
The police department continued, “Formal identification is yet to be carried out but officers believe the person to be 37-year-old Alexander Key who was reported missing on 24 January.”
The death “is not being treated as suspicious,” per police, who noted that an autopsy will be performed.
“Mr Key’s family has thanked police and HM Coastguard for their efforts, along with all those who assisted in the search for him. They have asked for their privacy to be respected at this difficult time,” the police concluded.
Reps for the Jagger family did not immediately respond to Page Six’s requests for comment.
Jackson’s mother is Jade Jagger, daughter of Mick, 82.
The Devon & Cornwall Police department previously shared that Key was last seen in the late afternoon of Jan. 24, walking past the Wellington pub on Old Road in the direction of Boscastle Harbour toward the River Valency.
CCTV images showed the chef wearing a red patterned jacket beneath a blue anorak with the hood over his head, light-colored pants and black sneakers. He was by himself.
“Alexander is described being 5ft 8in tall, of medium build with bright peroxide blonde hair and normally wearing bright coloured clothing,” police noted before asking the public to contact them with any helpful information.

Initially, police had said that Key was last seen on Jan. 23 at Cobweb Inn, a pub in Boscastle, around 2:30 p.m. local time.
CCTV photos showed him sitting at the bar. Though he appeared to be there alone, other patrons were sitting near him.
Key was seen leaving the pub solo about an hour later, walking with his hands in his pockets.
He was dressed in the same red patterned jacket, blue jeans and white sneakers. He was also sporting long, platinum-blond hair.
“Police are growing increasingly concerned,” the department’s Facebook page posted in part.
Alongside the CCTV pictures, Cobweb Inn also posted about Key’s missing status, stressing that “his family are so worried.”
Additionally, Jade, 54, took to Instagram to share a screenshot of the police department’s first memo about Key.
She has not posted about the situation since, while her daughter, 33, has not posted at all.
