The annual awards show celebrated the best in Black excellence among several categories, spread out over the past few days with various ceremonies. At the main show on Saturday (February 28), the biggest awards were handed out, along with several special awards, including President’s Award, Chairman’s Award and more. During the show, Samuel L Jackson also led a special tribute to the late Rev. Jesse Jackson, the civil rights leader, who passed away a couple weeks ago.
