The discourse surrounding a live-action adaptation of Naruto has gained new momentum after MrBeast publicly expressed interest in backing the remake. The content creator’s remarks come at a time when One Piece continues to deliver strong results on Netflix, which has renewed interest in adapting major anime titles.

After One Piece’s success, MrBeast offers to fund Naruto’s live-action remake

MrBeast has publicly expressed interest in backing a live-action adaptation of Naruto, indicating that he would be willing to help finance the project if it moves forward. The creator shared on X (formerly Twitter), “CAN WE PLEASE GET ONE FOR NARUTO PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE ILL HELP FUND IT.” His interest in the franchise is not new. He has previously collaborated with VIZ Media on merchandise tied to Naruto: Shippuden.

His comments come in the wake of the continued success of One Piece on Netflix. The series, originally released in 2023, has maintained strong global engagement, with its second season debuting on March 10, 2026. The latest season recorded 16.8 million views within its first four days and ranked as the most-watched television show globally during the week of March 9 to 15.

At the same time, a third season has already been confirmed. The newest season, titled One Piece: Into the Grand Line, continues the journey of Monkey D. Luffy, portrayed by Iñaki Godoy. The story expands into more dangerous territory with higher stakes and new enemies.

In contrast, Naruto stands out as one of the most prominent franchises yet to receive a similar treatment. Created by Masashi Kishimoto, the series ran from 1999 to 2014. It follows Naruto Uzumaki, a young ninja striving to gain recognition and ultimately become Hokage. The story was later expanded through a long-running anime produced by Studio Pierrot, along with multiple films and spin-offs.

At present, there has been no official confirmation of a live-action Naruto project.
