PROTECT YOUR DNA WITH QUANTUM TECHNOLOGY
Orgo-Life the new way to the future Advertising by Adpathway▪️ Candy Utopia is a 2-5 player game from Federico Marcucci and Giochi Uniti that looks like you were dropped straight into a pool of Willy Wonka's gastric juices:
Welcome to Chocoland, a world made entirely of sweets! Its capital, Candy Utopia, is a lively and colorful city with chocolate streets, caramel pavement, and houses made of soft marshmallow. The city is divided into several districts, each managed by the ingenious Gummy Bears, who work alongside skilled workers from various confectionery enterprises:
• The expert district builders of CaraFuel
• The masters of cutting-edge technology from JellyTech
• The tireless party spirits of BubbleFun
• The reliable digital specialists of MarshMail
The most eagerly awaited moment of the year is the Great Sweets Festival, a competition that lasts three days and puts the city's districts to the test. The Gummy Bears compete to improve their districts, enriching them with sweet activities and ever-expanding blocks. Each day of the festival represents a stage of improvement, and at the end of each stage, a piñata full of bonuses opens up: resources, decorations, and upgrades that are useful for the districts.
At the end of the festival, the Gummy Bears score their improvements and bonuses.
In more detail, a game of '''''Candy Utopia''''' is played over three days, each consisting of three turns per player. During the game, players build their districts by placing ChocoMix tiles made up of various types of terrain. They place workers to actions — called "activities" — and each activity moves a player on one of five thematic tracks, unlocking progressive bonuses, active powers, extra turns, or enhanced card/tile draws. Each activity is placed following distance and positioning rules, and their placement directly impacts future activities.
Cards can be played for instant effects, used to complete objectives, or saved to score end-game points; players will also compete over piñata cards, which are shared goals related to district building or card management and which award bonus points at game's end.

▪️ The description of Antiques, a 1-4 player game from Fábio Lima and PYTHAGORAS, is somewhat minimal, but it should give you enough to know whether you want to subscribe to the game page for more details to come:
The big day has finally arrived! As a representative of a prestigious family of art curators with generations of refined taste, your mission is to acquire the finest pieces at auction. You will create irreverent collections that challenge artistic boundaries, leading to temporary exhibitions in the world's most renowned museums.
But you're not alone in this pursuit! Other prominent families are also vying for deals with artists, galleries, and museums. In this high-stakes world of art collecting, golden opportunities can vanish in the blink of an eye, and only the most decisive curators will prevail.
In Antiques, you take on the role of a museum curator competing to become the most prestigious art gallery owner. Through strategic auction bidding and careful collection assembly, you will create temporary exhibitions in renowned museums and international galleries to showcase exquisite pieces. The game is played in sequential turns around the table until a player completes their required number of temporary museum exhibitions, which is based on the player count. After final scoring, the curator with the most points wins.

▪️ The description of Aqualuma, a 1-4 player game from Michael Luu and SPIEL DAS! Verlag, is equally vague, but maybe that's just the situation right now when we're more than two months out from SPIEL Essen 25:
In the realm of Aqualuma, you can explore five fantastic underwater worlds, each with its own unique magic and history, but one day, a dark fog descends and threatens everything that lives beneath the surface of the sea. Each world sends out its bravest heroes and heroines — and that's you! With your magical abilities, you can hold back the darkness for a while, but you can defeat it only if you combine your powers. Find the powerful balls of light hidden in the five worlds.
In the dice-placement game Aqualuma, players fill the magic strip of each world with dice in order to be rewarded, and each player has a special ability that can help everyone. To win, you must collect a light ball in each of the five underwater worlds, then activate them with dice.

Publishers want to tease a title, then release more information later to give everyone multiple opportunities to chance across a game — at least I imagine that's what is happening here.
▪️ One upcoming SPIEL Essen 25 release that does have its rules online is SCENERY, a Cwali title for 1-5 players from designers Luke Allison, Peter Joustra, and Corné van Moorsel:
Waterfalls, cliffs, wildlife, foliage, snow peaks, and panoramic views populate the Alpine landscape. Lay out hiking trails with the most beautiful scenery!
In SCENERY, players create hiking routes through hexagonal landscape tiles that have varying altitudes. To set up, create a market of face-up tiles, with each player having a compass token next to the market. Each tile has an height above sea level value (200-3500 m), one or more paths, and possibly a flower or animal.
On a turn, take a tile adjacent to your compass, move the compass, then fill the empty space with a new tile; a player can't choose the tile at the back of their compass. You place tiles one by one into a personal landscape, trying to create walkable closed routes across 3-7 hexes, with the landscape tiles not differing too much in height based on the length of the route (so that routes are accessible to hikers). When you complete a route, take the highest valued route token for the size of the route, then mark each tile intersection on the route.
Prototype
Based on how your hexes are combined, you'll add waterfalls, cliff faces, and viewpoints, each of which scores differently. From a viewpoint, you want to see animals and flowers in the valley below, and a waterfall scores based on the number of route tokens at its base. Flowers and animals also score for route tokens adjacent to them. For variety, you can play with optional goals such as most unique animals, tallest waterfall, and most dead ends.

A LIGHT, LOOKS & LAKES expansion gives players new ways to score, such as by having as much sunlight as possible on your landscape or creating a lake with the highest elevation.
