CBS is expanding the NCIS universe once again!

The network just announced a brand new series called NCIS: New York as part of its 2026-27 fall primetime TV schedule on Wednesday (April 15).

The show will air Tuesdays at 9 p.m. ET, joining a full night of NCIS programming. The lineup includes NCIS at 8 p.m. ET, followed by New York, followed by NCIS: Origins at 10 p.m. ET.

LL Cool J will return as fan favorite Sam Hanna, and will star alongside Scott Caan in the new series. According to CBS, the show follows his return to New York City.

Here’s the synopsis: “Legendary NCIS Agent Sam Hanna (LL Cool J) returns to his hometown of New York City to their field office, partnering with a roguish agent (Scott Caan) and helping lead a new team as they are tasked with high-stakes missions to defend one of the most vital cities and ports in the world.”
