A new Shark movie Chum is ready to bring the bite with its newly revealed trailer and poster. Featuring popular Star Trek actress Alice Eve, the film is helmed by Jonathan Zuck.

Chum’s official synopsis reads, “A dream destination wedding in Malta explodes into chaos when a bloodthirsty shark attacks and a sinister fisherman with a hidden agenda turns the celebration into a deadly trap. Forced between open water and a relentless human predator, the wedding party must fight for survival as secrets surface and loyalties shatter. As the newlyweds are pushed to their limits, they’re forced to confront the cracks in their relationship to determine who lives, who dies and who stays married.”

What happens in the Chum trailer?

The Chum trailer shows Alice Eve as a guest arriving for a Mediterranean wedding while on vacation. However, she and her friends face a deadly twist when they encounter a mad fisherman who wants to feed them all to a hungry shark.

The cast also includes Eric Michael Cole (Like Father Like Sone), Elle Haymond (Neighborhood Watch, The Cure), Sarah Siadat (Pretty Little Liars: The Perfectionists), Johnny Gaffney (Playland), Lisa Yaro (Running on Empty), and Jim Klock (Green Book).

As for Eve, she was recently seen in the TV series Belgravia: The Next Chapter in 2024, and movies like Cult Killer (2024) and Freelance (2023). She is also going to appear in a British movie called The Awakening.

Director Zuck collaborated with Joe Leone to write Chum’s screenplay, while the story was written by James Kondelik, Ryan R. Johnson, and Dick Grunert.

The movie’s producers include Eve herself alongside Johnson and Kurt Fethke. Eamon O’Rourke, Lucas Jarach, and Luke Daniels are also executive producers.

Chum will release on VOD/Digital and in theaters on June 5, 2026.
