Nick Cannon isn't letting his daughter go wild when it comes to dating.
In fact, the Wild 'n Out star—who shares 15-year-old twins Monroe and Moroccan with ex-wife Mariah Carey—admitted he doesn't give his daughter quite as much freedom when it comes to dating as his son.
"My son has been dating," Nick, 45, said of Moroccan on the May 2 episode of The TMZ Podcast, "and I've allowed it, I encouraged it."
As for whether he gives his daughter Monroe the same treatment, the comedian bluntly replied, "No, absolutely not."
"First of all, it's absolutely a double standard," Nick admitted, "and I know I get in trouble a lot 'cause I say things with my chest. But there is a difference when parenting a son and then when parenting a daughter."
Nick—who is also dad to 10 younger children with five different women—doubled down on his point, adding, "I am more protective of my daughter because there [are] things out there that I have to protect my daughter from. As we know, there's certain type of individuals that you want to keep your daughter away from."
And the Masked Singer host stressed that he will not hesitate to jump in to protect her from any bad eggs out there.
"If somebody puts their hands on my daughter, I'm going to jail," Nick emphasized, before later reiterating, "If some man puts his hands on my daughter, it's my worst nightmare because I am going to jail forever."
The All That alum made it clear that he has far fewer concerns about raising his eldest son. In fact, when asked if he's worried about "gold diggers" potentially wanting to date Moroccan, Nick quipped, "No! He got a whole lot of money. His mama's Mariah Carey!"
And while he may have the strings pulled tight for Monroe right now, the rapper admitted that he's open to making changes in the future.
"We made a deal. If she can explain to me what's going to happen on these dates, then she can go," he explained. "'Your twin brother can go with you.' That's what I do. But you ain't going one-on-one with no little bastard anywhere."

However, just five months after the arrival of their son, Nick shared the devastating news that Zen had passed away from brain cancer. "Alyssa was just the strongest woman I have ever seen," he said on the Dec. 7 episode of The Nick Cannon Show. "Never had an argument, never was angry. She was emotional when she needed to be but was always the best mom and continues to be the best mom possible. So I've got to say thank you to my entire family but specifically to Alyssa."
"You never know what someone is going through," he added. "Hug your family. Kiss somebody. Tell them you love them."

She continued, "I will remember the sound of Nicks voice saying 'it's a girl' and the look of everything we've been through flash across his face. I will remember the sound of her crying out with her first breath and feeling her heartbeat against mine. My sweet girl, I got my surprise!! We love you Halo Marie Cannon!"
