PROTECT YOUR DNA WITH QUANTUM TECHNOLOGY
Orgo-Life the new way to the future Advertising by AdpathwayThe LB x Bumpsuit collab launched a couple days ago and you may have seen Lauryn in The Lucy on the corner of Canal Street and West Broadway in NYC. OR you may have already listened to Bumpsuit founder, Nicole Trunfio on The HIM & HER Show. Either way, these collab kits are what dreams are made of.
If you have yet to meet Nic, she is an Australian/Italian powerhouse who now lives in Austin, TX. As well as having a celebrated career in fashion and modeling, she is an advocate for women’s rights and body positivity who is passionate about normalizing motherhood in the media. Embracing the essence of motherhood, the joys and the burdens, is something all new moms resonate with, which is why Nic’s new podcast The Village dives deep into all the things that come along with becoming a mom.
In her conversation with Lauryn on The HIM & HER Show, the entrepreneur, mother, model shares her remarkable journey from a small town in Australia to high fashion runways, working alongside Tom Ford and Naomi Campbell. And she dives deep into how her transition from fashion to motherhood led her to embrace entrepreneurship with the creation of Bumpsuit.
On top of the value-packed episode and her remarkable story, Nic also answered a few of our burning hot questions about balancing business, motherhood, AND, you guessed it…her routines! Of course.
What does your morning routine look like?
I usually start with a 20 minute Transcendental Meditation, if I feel like I got enough sleep. It’s so important to me and really defines my day, so I try to get it in the morning and evening. Then I move to the bathroom for my skincare routine: cleanse, tone, moisturize and apply sunscreen. I go between products that are clean and others that are not so clean.
I just downloaded an app where you can scan all barcodes to see how healthy they are for you, and I am definitely getting rid of my not so clean products. It’s a process because I have to find products that are just as good but healthier and cleaner.
What are your favorite self-care tools and practices?
Definitely meditation. My only non-comparable is my 6:15 am yoga class with my girl Amelia. She is everything to me, and probably has no idea. That class shifts everything for me: it’s dark and candle lit, but in a heated room and is a power flow. It’s the best.
I love a long, hot shower with great shower products, scrubs, gloves, masks and oils. And I love the sun and salt water. I find it very healing being by the ocean and breathing ocean air.
Most days I fit in an infrared sauna session which I have at home. It’s an investment I made instead of going on vacation and it’s one of the best decisions I’ve made. It’s good for everything.
How do you maintain a balance between work, motherhood and being a wife?
It’s a juggling act. I feel like 1 of these things is always out of balance, so I have to realign, then something else gets off balance. It’s not perfect, but it’s pretty good. Everything is constantly evolving so just when I feel I have a handle on everything, something will surprise me.
I have made peace with the fact that the only constant is that there is always a variable. I try to keep a very level head and always focus on the big picture, be less emotionally reactive, and when I need to take a moment, I meditate. That usually brings clarity to a situation. All in all, all of these aspects of life are incredibly inspiring to me, even in the challenging moments.
What are your most effective pregnancy and postpartum tips?
A Moses basket, one that is lightweight and narrow. That was a game-changer for me with all of my babies and it’s underrated.
Get a naturopath, get those herbs in your system, they helped me through it all.
A Bumpsuit a day obviously, and some Cloud loungewear.
For postpartum, our support waist trainer in 2 sizes (to size down) in your hospital bag, and the Armadillo baby carrier. MUST HAVES!

What was your favorite Bumpsuit piece to wear during pregnancy?
I love The Stevie, it’s very transeasonal. I love a turtle neck. I had it in every color. I love The Kate to wear around the house during pregnancy and postpartum. I still wear my Bumpsuits now. We have created so many amazing products since I was pregnant. Our baby shower and occasion collections are off the chain and more goodness is on the way.
What is your favorite TSC product and why?
I love love love the Mint Roller. I was using it on set while we were filming our teasers and went overboard with it. Genius product, and the cutest packaging. I love mouth tape (obviously) and I also love the Brow Peptide. I wish we could’ve added every single item into our collab kits!
I love how involved Lauryn is in every single product and she has so much knowledge. She’s such a trustworthy source for beauty and wellness.
How do you wind down at night?
I love to cook. It’s very therapeutic for me, but I hate cleaning after so I try and do it as I go. I love eating with my family when everyone is in town. We also recently got a new puppy and the biggest gift he brought me was our nightly walks under the stars on our ranch. I love the evening breeze and the stillness of the nights with him. I will usually do a sauna, body oil and put a Cloud pant on with a cotton tee from Bumpsuit, meditate, and go to sleep.
