Paul Wesley has booked his next TV role!

Following a short stint on Star Trek: Strange New Worlds, it was announced on Friday (February 27) that the 43-year-old Vampire Diaries alum has joined the cast of Apple TV’s The Buccaneers for season 3.

Keep reading to find out more…“Formally inviting him in. Welcome Paul Wesley to #TheBuccaneers Season 3,” Apple TV wrote on Instagram along with a video of Paul in costume walking around set.

Paul will be playing the role of Frank, “a mysterious but charming stranger who arrives in Nan (Kristine Froseth) and Mrs. St. George’s (Christina Hendricks) world, turning it upside down.”

Here’s the synopsis for season 3: “Our Buccaneers are fighting back. And they’re doing it together. When they arrived in England they were all navigating their first loves. Now, they’re looking for the loves of their live, and with a new and enigmatic Duke at the helm, Tintagel is also facing an uncertain future. If polite English society thought our American girls rocked the boat, this new bad-boy Duke is about to sink the ship.”

Season 3 of The Buccaneers doesn’t have an official release date yet.
