Craft Tips

  • If you are concerned about little bugs in your pinecones that’s easy to remedy. Turn your oven on to 250 F and bake your pinecones for 45 minutes. Let them cool and you are ready to start making your pinecone owls.
  • If you prefer, you can use instant grab glue instead of hot glue.
  • Acorn tops can be soaked in water to loosen any caked on dirt. You can gently scrub them with an old toothbrush using baking soda. Bake in a 250 F oven for 45 minutes to dry.
  • You can display these in your child’s room, use them as table placeholders, put them in a basket on the porch, or perch them on your fireplace mantel!
