Netflix‘s popular historical drama TV show has set a production window for Season 2. Coming from Peaky Blinders creator Stephen Knight, the show’s Season 1 premiered last year.

What Netflix TV show has been renewed for a second season?

The acclaimed Netflix TV show House of Guinness has been renewed for Season 2. It’s been revealed that production of the second season will begin in early 2027, reports Variety.

Set in 19th-century Dublin, the historical drama follows members of the famed Irish brewing family, played by Anthony Boyle, Louis Partridge, Emily Fairn, and Fionn O’Shea. Other key cast members on the show include  James Norton, Niamh McCormack, Jack Gleeson, Seamus O’Hara, Michael McElhatton, David Wilmot, Dervla Kirwan, Danielle Galligan, and Ann Skelly.

The first season comprised eight parts and fared pretty well with critics. Currently, it holds a solid Tomatometer score of 90% on Rotten Tomatoes. The plot of Season 1 mostly followed the power-hungry heirs of the beer dynasty after the death of brewing mogul Sir Benjamin Guinness. The show depicted the cutthroat sibling rivalry to take over the empire built by Guinness.

Since its release, the series has also been compared to Peaky Blinders due to its style and presentation. Netflix’s content chief also acknowledged these comparisons during media interactions.

After the show was released last year, creator Stephen Knight clearly mentioned that the overall series will have four seasons. “We are going to do season two and three and four … we are going to do this all the way to the 1960s,” he said. He expressed his personal interest in showing the full story of the Irish family and its members. “I’ve always been fascinated by their stories and am excited to bring the characters to life for the world to see.”

As of now, Knight is also busy completing the script for the next James Bond movie. House of Guinness Season 2 has yet to receive an official release date window.
