The creative team behind the breakout hit Jury Duty has done it again, as critics are raving about Season 2. Jury Duty Presents: Company Retreat has landed a perfect 100% Tomatometer score on Rotten Tomatoes ahead of its premiere.

The show swaps a fake courtroom for a fictional hot sauce company, but keeps the same formula: one unsuspecting person surrounded by actors in an elaborate, hidden-camera scenario.

Jury Duty Presents: Company Retreat gets rave reviews and Rotten Tomatoes score

Jury Duty Season 2, officially titled Jury Duty Presents: Company Retreat, introduces a new lead, Anthony, a 25-year-old from Nashville, Tennessee. He believes he has started a new job at a family-owned business called Rockin’ Grandma’s Hot Sauce.

In reality, the company is fictional, and everyone he meets is a paid actor following a script. The creators Lee Eisenberg and Gene Stupnitsky have planned every detail of the corporate retreat where the season unfolds.

The critical reception has been positive. Aramide Tinubu of Variety wrote, “Prime Video’s breakout reality hoax sitcom, Jury Duty, is back with an even more hilarious concept and a thoroughly endearing straight man.” Greg MacArthur from ScreenRant added, “Ultimately, if you enjoyed Jury Duty season 1, you’re almost guaranteed to enjoy season 2, as it increases the scale of the Emmy-nominated series, while also enhancing it with more entertaining scenarios and memorably hilarious characters.”

The Company Retreat Rotten Tomatoes‘ 100% score reflects a consensus that the show has successfully replicated the magic of the original. Meredith Loftus from Collider noted, “If Jury Duty was the proof of concept, then Company Retreat is evidence that this reality hoax sitcom has legs as long as it evolves season to season.”

Jury Duty Presents: Company Retreat premieres March 20 on Prime Video with three episodes. The remaining five episodes will roll out over the following two Fridays. The first season of Jury Duty is also available to stream on the platform.
