Former NFL quarterback Nick Foles posted an ice cold tweet on X, and (many) fans are absolutely loving it.

The now 36-year-old led the Philadelphia Eagles to their first-ever Super Bowl title back in 2018 after being backup to starting QB Carson Wentz for most of the season. He took over when Wentz became injured, and ended up winning them the game. He became a legend in Philly as a result.

The tweet in question references the Denver Broncos, whose starting quarterback Bo Nix broke a bone in his ankle and will not be able to play in the AFC Championship game or the Super Bowl – should they win – as a result. This has led some to think that the New England Patriots, their competitor this round, have a very clear path to the Super Bowl.

This is where Foles comes in.

He tweeted, “Note for the Broncos and their fans: I know it has been an emotional 24 hours. I feel for Bo and the team, and I’m sending prayers for a strong recovery. A positive note going into the game versus the Patriots is that they struggle against backup QBs in championship-type games.”

This is a clear reference to the 2018 Super Bowl, where Foles and the Eagles took down the Patriots, led by Tom Brady.
