Rege-Jean Page is revealing how it really feels to attend the Met Gala.

The 38-year-old Bridgerton star has attended the prestigious event twice: once in 2022 and again in 2025.

“What no one tells you about the Met Gala is that everyone, almost everyone, is on their own. There’s the most glamorous room, the most exclusive echelon of society, all utterly lost and alone and searching for connection,” Rege-Jean told Esquire UK.

He ended up meeting his future You, Me & Tuscany co-star, Halle Bailey, at last year’s event. Halle attended in 2021, 2023, and 2025.

He added, “You’re dressed as well as you’re ever going to be dressed. But you’re also in a very vulnerable place, ready to lean on your co-star immediately.”

Many celebrities have spoken out about the Met Gala, and some celebs hated their experience at the event.

On top of that, there are actually 2 celebrities who are banned from the event by Anna Wintour.

This year, the Met Gala will take place on Monday, May 4, 2026. The dress code this year is “Fashion is Art.”
