The Resident Evil franchise is heading back to theaters and you might be wondering where to start with its growing list of movies!

With Zach Cregger‘s new film starring Austin Abrams arriving September 18, it’s a good time to revisit the adaptations that brought the video game series to the big screen, starring with Paul W. S. Anderson‘s 2002 film.

Milla Jovovich‘s Alice leads the original six-film series, which takes place in a different continuity than the newest addition. The franchise then started over with Resident Evil: Welcome to Raccoon City in 2021.
