Sai De Silva is in the process of getting a divorce.

The 45-year-old Real Housewives of New York City star’s husband David Craig just filed for divorce, nearly nine years after their marriage.

David filed for divorce on Thursday morning (April 2) in New York City, per court records obtained by TMZ.

The ex-couple met back in 2009 while he was on a business trip and she was on vacation in Costa Rica. They went on to have two children, daughter London in 2011 and son Rio in 2017, before tying the knot that year.

Sai joined Real Housewives of New York City in Season 14 as part of the massive cast shake-up.

“He likes his privacy. In a world where we share everything, it’s nice to have something that is private in my life. It keeps my sanity and I also think having a little mystery is fun. However, he is very involved when it comes to his family and I think he should win an award for father of the year!” she wrote of her husband on her blog at the time.

RHONY is reportedly in the middle of filming Season 16, meaning it’s possible that the divorce news will be part of the storyline for this upcoming season.

A star from the early seasons of RHONY is set to appear in Season 16 as a friend.
