Rob Lowe is remembering the “pettiest thing” that happened to him in the past.

The 61-year-old actor is promoting his new movie The Musical, where one of the primary motives behind the characters’ actions is spite.

Rob told Variety that he and the other cast and crew members thought about something petty they’d had done to them, or had done to others, to get into the spirit of the film.

The St. Elmo’s Fire alum recalled something that happened when he was giving his speech after winning an award at a ceremony.

“There was a particular actor behind me who was trying to take off the bra strap of the other actress, grabbagging and pulling focus from my speech. I didn’t like it.” Rob explained. “By the way, there’s no group pettier than actors, so it’s not surprising.”

The outlet notes that while he didn’t name names, there is a YouTube video from the 2002 SAG Awards that appears to fit the criteria. In the video, Rob is giving a speech to accept the drama ensemble prize for The West Wing and in the background, his co-star Bradley Whitford seems to be teasing Allison Janney while Rob is speaking.

Last year, actress Melissa Gilbert revealed one “horrible” aspect of her prior relationship with Rob.
