A rep for Ryan Reynolds is speaking out to defend the actor’s texts that were unsealed as part of the It Ends With Us case.

Blake Lively and Justin Baldoni are still battling it out in court over what allegedly happened during the making of the movie, as well as an alleged smear campaign during the film’s release.

Many of Ryan‘s texts with his famous friends, encouraging them to support the movie, have been unsealed.

Ryan‘s rep spoke out for a Puck article titled “Is Blake Really Unhireable—and Can Ryan Escape the Blast Radius?”

The rep told Puck, “Yes Ryan got involved—what husband wouldn’t support his wife and the mother of his children? He saw his wife fighting daily to stand up against sexual harassment in a private and respectful way, only to face retaliation for doing so. If anything, Ryan feels like he wasn’t angry enough. He passionately believes in and will stand up for the basic right to a safe workplace free of harassment and retaliation for his wife and others. Then, now, and always.”
