Orgo-Life the new way to the future Advertising by AdpathwayTimothée Chalamet Brought a Date to the SAG Awards 2025, But It Wasn’t Kylie Jenner
Live TV didn’t get the best of Timothée Chalamet.
While presenting his film A Complete Unknown alongside cast members Elle Fanning, Edward Norton and Monica Barbaro at the 2025 SAG Awards on Feb. 23, Timothée had a bit of hiccup when it came to his lines.
"As David Lynch once said about Bob Dylan,” the 29-year-old began. “He tapped into some kind of vein and he keeps on keeping on.”
After a brief pause, the Bones and All star quickly realized it was still his turn to read the prompter—and as he finished, Timothée hilariously revealed what may have caused the mishap.
"A Complete Unknown traces that vein—should’ve done a rehearsal,” he quipped as the audience laughed, “that vein back to Greenwich Village, where the story of rock's legendary poet begins."
And in true rock star fashion, the show went on and the cast finished their segment without a hitch.
While he didn’t take home a trophy for his award-worthy save, Timothée did make history as the youngest actor to win the Screen Actors Guild Award for Outstanding Lead Actor in a Motion Picture for his portrayal of Bob Dylan.
The actor—who beat out The Brutalist's Adrien Brody, Conclave's Ralph Fiennes, Queer's Daniel Craig and Sing Sing's Colman Domingo—admitted he didn’t see it coming. (Click here for the full list of winners.)

"I was not expecting this at all," Timothée shared during his acceptance speech. "Truly."
And while his girlfriend Kylie Jenner was absent from the ceremony, the Wonka star had his other leading lady by his side; his mother Nicole Flender, who got a special shoutout of her own.
"I’ll start by thanking my mother who I’m here with tonight," the actor continued. "She has been working at Actors' Equity for 40 years, in the stage union."
But Timothée’s impromptu moment wasn’t the only one you may have missed. Keep reading to see more candid moments from the 2025 SAG Awards…
