Fresh off the success of the Avatar movies, Sam Worthington is returning to the world of TV with a new Netflix thriller, and its first trailer has finally been released.

In I Will Find You, Worthington will play David Burroughs, an innocent father serving life for the murder of his own son. In the show, Burroughs receives evidence that his child may still be alive, prompting him to escape prison to find out the truth.

What happens in the I Will Find You trailer

The trailer opens with David encountering his ex-sister-in-law Rachel, portrayed by Britt Lower (Severance), who shocks him by revealing that his son, Matthew, who was long believed to be dead, is actually alive. Following that, there are glimpses of the rest of the show’s cast.

Alongside Worthington and Lower, I Will Find You also stars Milo Ventimiglia (This is Us), who appears as Rachel’s former boyfriend. The rest of the cast includes Logan Browning, Erin Richards, Jonathan Tucker, Chi McBride, Madeleine Stowe, and Clancy Brown.

I Will Find You is an adaptation of Harlan Coben’s eponymous 2023 novel. This will mark the 14th adaptation of Coben’s novels, soon to be followed by Netflix’s upcoming series The Woods. The series is co-created by Robert Hull, best known for being the writer of Quantum Leap and Alcatraz. Coben also serves as co-creator and executive producer on the 8-episode series.

“The cast we’ve assembled is nothing short of phenomenal,” Coben told Tudum. “Any one of these incredible artists would be a dream on their own. The fact we’ve somehow drawn them all in is a testament to the power of Harlan’s storytelling and the incredible support of everyone at Netflix. I cannot wait to watch them bring these roles to life.”

“Netflix has been an amazing creative partner all over the globe — and now we get to come home and do it here in the United States,” Coben added. “We have a dream team of talent.”

I Will Find You premieres on Netflix on June 18, 2026.
