Sarah Jessica Parker is speaking out about the removal of the Pride flag at The Stonewall Inn.

The 60-year-old actress shared a video to Instagram in a joint post with her longtime bestie Andy Cohen, addressing the controversial move at the iconic LGBTQ+ establishment that was the epicenter of the 1969 Stonewall riots.

If you didn’t know, a large flag was removed due to a directive from the Trump administration issuing a federal guidance on displaying “non-agency” flags in the National Park system. The Stonewall Inn was designated as a national monument in June 2016.

“Question, you think if you remove our flag we’re going to not care or remember or continue to advocate or forget, I’m just curious. Yeah, we want our flag back. But just cause you take it away doesn’t mean you take away the history or the community or everybody that stands shoulder to shoulder,” SJP says in the video above.

In the caption, she wrote, “X, SJ and Andy”

Andy also shared another reaction on his own Instagram story several hours earlier, writing, “Needless, mean f-ckery”

Newly elected Mayor Zohran Mamdani has also expressed his outrage at the flag’s removal from the monument, and along with several other New York City officials, has vowed the flag will return.
