Savannah Guthrie will no longer be participating in NBC’s coverage of the Winter Olympics.

The NBC Sports team has confirmed that Savannah has pulled out of the coverage plans amid the search for her missing mother, who police fear has been kidnapped.

Savannah was scheduled to fly to Italy on Monday, but she is with her family at this time instead. The network is in the process of coming up with a new plan for host coverage.

“Savannah will not be joining us at the Olympics as she focuses on being with her family during this difficult time,” an NBC Sports spokesperson said (via THR). “Our hearts are with her and the entire Guthrie family as the search continues for their mother. We will share additional information about our Opening Ceremony coverage plans soon.”

Savannah has been working with NBC for the past 19 years and has covered the past three Olympics games for the network.
