Production for the new The Exorcist movie has begun!

Scarlett Johansson and Chiwetel Ejiofor braved the rainy weather as they left their trailers as they prepared to begin filming scenes for their upcoming horror reboot movie on Monday afternoon (March 16) in New York City.

Scarlett, 41, went comfy in gray sweats and tan slippers while Chiwetel, 48, sported a navy raincoat over a black, quarter-zip shirt and gray sweatpants.

Keep reading to find out more…Written and directed by Mike Flanagan, the new movie was announced back in November. The movie is described as “not a remake nor a sequel,” but set in the same “universe.”

The cast also includes Jacobi Jupe, Diane Lane, and Sasha Calle. As of right now, the movie is scheduled to hit theaters on March 12, 2027.
