The creator of Shrinking is clarifying his comments on season four after fans were left confused by what he said.

Bill Lawrence said last week that the season three finale would wrap up a three-season story and that he was excited to start a “completely new story next year.” He added that the same cast would remain for the new story. This left fans wondering if Shrinking would go the route of anthology series, with the same actors playing new characters.

Now, he’s elaborating on what he previously said.

Bill tweeted, “This all got weird. lol. My bad. Yeah. They’re the same characters.”

Bill then joked about the confusion.

“Season 4. #Shrinking in space. I shouldn’t be allowed on social media of any kind. lol. Thanks for caring. Will gladly answer questions after finale,” he said.

He added, “Season 4. Title change to SHRINKERS. And the therapists can shrink down and ride around in their patients ears. Telling them what to do.”
