Paramount+ has shared the official trailer for SkyMed Season 4, the next installment of the popular Canadian medical drama series. It is scheduled to make its return on May 21, 2026, more than a year after wrapping up the third season’s 9-episode run.

“Not your typical medical drama, the new installment features daring rescues across dense wilderness, raging rapids, and isolated terrain where help is hard to reach,” reads the logline. “This season finds the crew disrupted like never before. The arrival of new rookie pilots and medics unsettles the dynamic as leaders begin losing control, rookies push limits, and emotions override protocol.”

What happens in the SkyMed Season 4 trailer?

The video teases the introduction of new rookie pilots and medics. It highlights the challenges and dangerous rescue missions that the air ambulance crew will be facing in the new installment, including being taken hostage by a gunman. The show will feature returning series regulars Natasha Calis as Hayley, Morgan Holmstrom as Crystal, Mercedes Morris as Lexi, Sydney Kuhne as Stef, and Aaron Ashmore as Wheezer.

SkyMed was created and executive-produced by Julie Puckrin, who was inspired by her sister and brother-in-law’s experience meeting while flying air ambulances. Season 4 will also include Lauren Lee Smith as Captain Riley, Shawn Ahmed as cocky Flight Nurse Zay Patel, Leishe Meyboom as spirited rookie Flight Nurse Piper Adler, Alexander Eling as charming First Officer Wyatt Ellis, and Cecilia Lee as ambitious Pilot Maya Chang.

The show is a production by Piazza Entertainment in association with Paramount+ in Canada and CBS Studios. It is executive-produced by Gillian Hormel and Vanessa Piazza, with Effy Papadopoulos, Lawren Bancroft-Wilson, and Manitoba’s Bonus Production Services set as producers.
