kenzie is premiering her brand new “sophie” song and video right here on Just Jared!

The 21-year-old singer drops the track and visual from her upcoming EP notes from the in between, which is debuting THIS Friday (April 10) via Hollywood Records.

“this one is a super special song to me. i actually wrote it about my best friend, sophie,” kenzie shared with Just Jared in a statement about the new track. “i actually grew up in LA without true girlfriends and i feel like she became a part of my family. it’s so funny because the writer i wrote this with is also named sophie so it’s a full circle!”

Not only is the song written about kenzie‘s best friend, but Sophie is also starring in the music video – Check it out here!

kenzie‘s new EP also features previously released singles “mutual destruction” and “where do we go,” along with “sophie” and two more tracks.

“notes from the in between is a collection of songs written from a place of transition. It lives in the space between who I was and who I’m becoming, before clarity, before answers, before certainty,” the singer said about her EP.
