The release date window for Special Ops: Lioness Season 3 has now been confirmed. A recent update confirms when the next season of the series is expected to arrive, following the completion of filming. Backed by Paramount+, the spy thriller show continues to build anticipation for its upcoming season.

Special Ops: Lioness Season 3 gets exciting release date window

A new update has provided a clearer idea of when Season 3 of the Zoe Saldaña-led show may arrive, with it now expected to return before the end of 2026. While an exact premiere date has not been formally announced, recent comments from the cast suggest that the release could fall later in the year.

The third season, created by Taylor Sheridan, has already finished filming. In a recent interview with Collider, actor Michael Kelly confirmed his involvement in the upcoming season and suggested that the release may happen around late summer. However, he also indicated that this timing is not officially confirmed.

“We have completed it, and I don’t know for sure [what I can tell people], but I think it’s [coming out] somewhere around the end of the summer, probably, it’ll come out. It’s really good, man. Really fun,” Kelly said. Separately, Paramount+ has confirmed that the Season 3 is scheduled to premiere within 2026.

In October 2025, the streaming platform officially renewed Special Ops: Lioness for a third season. Filming for the new chapter was completed in Fort Worth, Texas, in March 2026. Nicole Kidman and Zoe Saldaña will once again lead the series, returning as Kaitlyn Meade and Joe McNamara, respectively.

The new season will also feature Ian Bohen as a series regular, with Elizaveta Neretin joining the cast. Returning performers include James Jordan, Lamonica Garrett, Austen Hébert, Laysla De Oliveira, and Genesis Rodriguez among others.

At present, no official plot details or synopsis for Special Ops: Lioness Season 3 have been released.
