Marvel Studios has brought in a composer who has previously worked on Star Wars and DC projects to join the VisionQuest team. The series is an upcoming MCU Phase Six project that serves as a spin-off to the 2021 miniseries WandaVision. Paul Bettany stars as the titular superhero and former member of the Avengers in the show.

Mick Giacchino joins VisionQuest as composer

Mick Giacchino has boarded the VisionQuest crew as composer, according to The Hollywood Reporter. His previous credits include 2021’s animated film Extinct, DC crime-drama show The Penguin, and Star Wars: Skeleton Crew. For The Penguin, he won a Creative Arts Emmy in 2025. Giacchino is the son of veteran composer Michael Giacchino and provided additional music to his father’s score for 2022’s The Batman.

Mick Giacchino is set to preview VisionQuest’s main theme with a full orchestra at Poland’s Kraków FMF International TV Series Gala on May 16. There, he will also showcase some of his music from The Penguin.

VisionQuest is part of a thematic TV trilogy within the Marvel Cinematic Universe, preceded by WandaVision and Agatha All Along. In a September 2025 interview, Bettany noted that while VisionQuest was not necessarily a direct sequel, “it’s absolutely, rightly part of the trilogy.”

Further, Terry Matalas (Star Trek: Picard) is serving as the creator of VisionQuest. Its official log line reads, “After the events of WandaVision, White Vision struggles to connect with the memories given to him as he lacks the emotions or feelings associated with them.”

Aside from Bettany, the cast includes James Spader as Ultron, Todd Stashwick as Paladin, Ruaridh Mollica as Tommy Maximoff, T’Nia Miller as Jocasta, Emily Hampshire as E.D.I.T.H., James D’Arcy as J.A.R.V.I.S., Jonathan Sayer as U, Henry Lewis as D.U.M.-E, Orla Brady as F.R.I.D.A.Y., and Faran Tahir as Raza.

VisionQuest will premiere on Disney+ in late 2026 and will have eight episodes.
