Riyadh Fashion Week 2025 unfolded against a cinematic backdrop of sandstone cliffs and glowing towers, with the desert air charged with a palpable sense of anticipation. This was more than a series of shows; it was a declaration of intent. Across venues from the monumental Bedrock to the glittering Roof at Al Mamlaka, Saudi Arabia’s capital transformed into a dynamic canvas for craft, culture, and couture, showcasing a fashion scene that is both deeply rooted and boldly futuristic.

The week commenced at the striking Bedrock venue, where Atelier Hekayat set a powerful tone with a collection inspired by the world of theatre. In a masterful play of light and shadow, structured black and white gowns and fluid capes created a narrative of drama and elegance, inviting the audience into a world of sartorial performance art.

In a historic moment destined to be a career highlight for many attendees, Vivienne Westwood made her regional debut in a groundbreaking collaboration with Art of Heritage. The collection was a breathtaking fusion of rebellious spirit and local tradition, presenting gowns where draped silks and corseted bodices were meticulously embroidered by Saudi artisans. This partnership was a powerful testament to the global language of craftsmanship.

Elsewhere, contemporary labels carved out their distinct spaces. Rebirth infused the runway with a carefree, bohemian spirit, its flowing fabrics and artisanal tassels celebrating effortless glamour. Leem offered a masterclass in wearable sophistication, presenting relaxed tailoring and modest silhouettes elevated with subtle metallics—a forward-thinking evolution of the modern Saudi wardrobe.

As the week ascended to The Roof at Al Mamlaka, the mood turned ethereal. Razan Alazzouni sent a romantic, monotone collection floating down the runway, with hand-beaded tulles catching the light like morning dew. In a breathtaking finale, her designs were projected across the Mamlaka Tower, literally weaving her artistry into the city’s skyline. Closing the evening, Aram embarked on a whimsical nautical voyage, reimagining sailor stripes and classic plaids with playful, theatrical flair.

RFW 2025 was a resounding success, proving that Riyadh is not just on the fashion map, but actively redrawing it with confidence, creativity, and an unmissable point of view.
