John Petito, TailorCare Chief Strategy Officer, talked about what sets the company apart, particularly its multi-pronged approach to specialty value-based care. TailorCare is focused on using PT to improve outcomes for patients with joint, back, and muscle conditions, using data, collaborations with providers, and patient engagement.

Kevin Ritter, Altera Digital Health Executive Vice President, discussed its place in the population health and interoperability space. Its core solution aggregates data for physicians at the point of care with analytics. It’s important to make data easily actionable through standard pathways without forcing users to hunt for it, Ritter observed.

“As long as you are part of the patient’s care journey, you need insights,” Ritter said.

Narayan Iyer, Wipro Vice President, talked about the latest trend in artificial intelligence — autonomous AI. It’s a type of AI in which health tech can make decisions and perform tasks independently. The challenge is that it could directly impact patient care, posing a significant risk. For this reason, the AI tech must have “explainability and optionality” and use scoring for how it arrived at the answer and why. Iyer also pointed out that it’s important to keep the clinician in the loop to validate the answer. Constant review of AI models is essential.
