Diff’rent Strokes star Todd Bridges and his wife, designer and photographer Bettijo B. Hirschi, have confirmed they are separating after just over three years of marriage.

Todd, 60, shared a statement with People on January 14, revealing the split came after “much prayer and reflection.” He said, “This was not an easy choice, and it comes with a heavy heart, but also with love and gratitude for the life we shared.”

He added that he’s grateful for the lessons they learned and the family they built while asking for privacy during the transition.

The couple first met in January 2022 through a mutual friend, got engaged six months later, and married that September in Beverly Hills.

The Everybody Hates Chris actor has two children from a previous marriage, Spencir, 28, and Bo, 29. Bettijo had four kids prior to her relationship with Todd.
